Welcome to the world, Little Boy !
22 December 2012 : A very special day in our life. The world was happy as it didn't ended on 21st Dec as predicted earlier, doomsday was postponed. But we are happy for a different reason. We are blessed with a baby BOY on 22nd Dec 2012 in the evening. It is a new life for the world (escaping the doomsday), but it was a creation of new world in our life. We are surrounded with so much happiness and joy which cannot be expressed in words.
After waiting for several months, after several visits to the doctors, after some apprehensions n fears, at last the day has come. My wife was admitted in the hospital on this day. We had to wait for some hours for the preparations in operation theatre. It was more exciting than a final match of world cup cricket. We were waiting with curiosity and excitement on one side, anxiety and a little worry on the other side. After waiting outside for 45 minutes, good news came from the nurse coming from the operation theatre. She said that it was a Boy and the baby was perfectly alright. All the family members were flooded with happiness and congratulated each other. we eagerly waited for our son to be brought out of the operation theatre. We could hear the cries of the baby already and were really excited to see as soon as possible. I thanked God for his mercy and blessings. Few of my family members had more interest in Boy child and it was good that they were also satisfied. It was wholesome happiness, a perfect package of everything we needed. Thank you God, what more can we ask for !
At last, after a wait of 20 minutes, which seemed like hours, the nurse brought the baby and handed over to us. Oh ! what a feeling it was .... to feel and realise that its my own Son I was holding, my own blood, my reflection and a symbol of our love. I just couldn't express how it felt like .... may be one has to personally go through that moment to understand its importance. We took the baby to the room allotted to us. We have checked the room and everything before that. The baby was kept in a cradle and a light stand with a bulb was placed near the baby, beside the cradle, to provide the heat. It was necessary, as the baby has come out from a warm mother's womb and the outside world was cold winter. It was at this moment, within an hour of his birth, the above photo was taken. My loving son in his original form, untouched by people, nature or outer world at that time.
The best photograph I have ever taken and I think that no photograph in future could ever beat that or bring more happiness to me. It would remain as a sweet memory forever and ever !
